Are you hoping to join a club but don't have a handicap?
How about learning with others of a similar ability?
For new and relatively inexperienced golfers who aspire to attain full membership of Coombe Wood Golf Club, an interim category of membership has been devised.
The aim of this scheme is to help golfers to improve, in all aspects of the game, to reach the standards required for full membership and to integrate them into the life of the club.
Although the membership is of a one year duration fast improvers will be encouraged to up-grade to full membership as soon as they are ready.
This membership will be overseen by the Professional shop staff all of which are PGA qualified Professional golfers.
Those interested in applying should book a golf lesson (separate fee applies), during which they will be assessed as to their suitability for the membership.
Basic Terms of membership;
£650.00 per year + £50.00 bar levy payable to Coombe Wood Golf Club.
Payment of the above fee entitles the academy member to:
* Twelve golf lessons, some of which will be in groups and others on an individual basis.
* The lessons will offer instruction on each aspect of the game, according to the individual’s strengths and weaknesses.
* The lesson package will also include a rules session and an etiquette session.
* Use of the clubhouse and access to the club’s practice facilities.
* Access to the golf course will be slightly restricted to avoid busy periods.
Available Tee Times:
* Mondays - Between 10.00 am & 12.00 pm & after 4.00 pm
* Tuesdays - NO PLAY
* Wednesdays - Between 10.00 am & 12.00 pm & after 4.00 pm
* Thursdays - Between 10.00 am & 12.00 pm & after 4.00 pm
* Fridays - Between 10.00 am & 12.00 pm
* Saturdays - After 4pm (2pm in Winter)
* Sundays - After 4pm (2pm in Winter)
* The above times are subject to Club competitions and society start times.
* Academy membership does not entitle the member to play in Club competitions, to sign in guests or to vote in Club meetings.
